I do have an idea of the research work, I just don’t know how to go about it, you know, how to present it.

Get a proposal template of your college, maybe one of your friends can help you with that, and get on with making that template as yours. A template will have all the essentials, it’ll tell you what all needs to be there and what all you need to do. Maybe you don’t understand what your professors want, so a template might help.

A topic has to be doable and must be helpful for your career. Also, can you get primary and secondary data on it? You need to consider these few points before settling for a topic.

I know its tiring to separately analyse quantitative and qualitative data, so before you end up with the wrong one you should be well aware of the benefits of the both the questionnaire. Whereas quantitative questionnaire states your research problem in a specific term and clearly specifies the independent and dependent variable of your research, Qualitative gives you a more nuance feeling which cannot be expressed in numerical data and give you a flexible approach in terms of data collection, analysis and interpretation of the collected information.
So, you need to analyse which method will suit your research questions.
